In light of the modern challenges that young girls face, it is easy to forget that sports can be crucial in building a better society for life’s precious beings.
Young Stars Netball Club is a shining example that typifies the talents that young girls between the ages of 15 and 18 possess.
‘It is not just about winning,’ says coach, Katlego Sephakwe. ‘We aim to offer advice on the benefits of concentrating on education and netball offers them a platform to interact with their peers.’
The club won the Tlokwe Summer Challenge in October and they will once again represent the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District on 3 December.
