SA u.19 Proteas host fun coaching clinic for Saints

Four players from the SA u.19 Cricket World Cup squad, Merrick Brett, Levert Manje, Andrew Louw and Odirile Modimokoane, had a fun time teaching cricket skills to the youngsters who were wide-eyed with excitement.

The SA u.19 cricket team made their way to Potchefstroom Boys High this morning for a quick coaching clinic with learners from Saints Christian School.

Four players from the SA u.19 Cricket World Cup squad, Merrick Brett, Levert Manje, Andrew Louw and Odirile Modimokoane, had a fun time teaching cricket skills to the youngsters who were wide-eyed with excitement. North West Cricket also facilitated the event.

Balls were thrown, basics were taught and a couple of fun games were played. There was also prizes for the best batsman, bowler and fielder of the day, whilst every young participant also received autographs from the future stars.

South Africa play the West Indies tomorrow (Saturday, 1 February) in the 5th place playoff at JB Marks Oval at 10:00.

It is no doubt that these kids will want to go cheer on their heroes tomorrow after having such an enjoyable time today.
