The North West Platinum Inter High Athletics meeting (group B) is taking place today (Friday 11 February), at a blazing hot NWU McArthur Stadium.  The sun glared down on the athletes of all 11 competing schools, but they battled on in various track and field events throughout the day.  Ferdies and THS Potchefstroom are the two Potch based schools participating.

At the around 12:00 today, Hoërskool Wolmaransstad was leading the way followed by Hoërskool Fochville and Ferdinand Postma High School in the battle for first place.  See the photos of the morning session here and follow www.potchefstroomherald.co.za for the full results:
