Confidence is sky high in the NWU FC camp after earning their first win in the Motsepe Foundation Championship against Leicesterford City last Saturday (October 17).
The purple army will look to continue their winning momentum against another university side in University of Pretoria (Tuks) at the Fanie Du Toit Sports ground this Saturday, October 24. Kickoff is at 15:30. The head coach of NWU FC, Nkululeko Malgas did hint a week ago on Wednesday after the Inaugural NWU sports awards that “we’ve been playing well and we’ve been unlucky in the final third, hitting the post numerous times.”
Both teams are not far off each other in the Motsepe Foundation Championship standings. NWU FC will be looking to earn their first home win of the season and will be buoyed by the loud home support at the Fanie Du Toit Sports ground.
Hopefully the ball will “cross the line ” as the purple army will be targeting their second win of the season and a first one at home against a wounded Tuks side.
