A super fun day at Rand Park Primary School

RANDPARK RIDGE – The school hosted its annual fun day and everyone came out in full force to support.

What does a warm winter’s day, an array of jumping castles to play on, and children eager to be at their school on a Saturday morning equal to? An awesome fun day, of course!

Rand Park Primary School recently held its annual fun day and let’s just say the day stuck true to its word, and was a day of merriment for all.

As one made their way through the myriad of smiling young faces, that were stained either blue or pink due to their favourite treats, one could not help but reflect on their own youth as you looked around the school at children being children, having unadulterated fun as they frolicked or ran to the next fun thing to do with their best friend.

What’s a day of amusement without music?

To get both parents and children dancing to the drum of their beats was The Graeme Watkins Project. The hit band helped guests warm up as their music encouraged everyone to dance and have a good time.

The school’s headmaster, Nick Pienaar, said the event was also a fundraising effort to upgrade the school’s senior toilets and so he hoped the day would have raised a lot of money for the school. “There were also sponsorships and donations from parents.”

The school believes that in order to have happy learners its facilities must always be neat, well looked after, and maintained.

“The turnout was wonderful, all of our learners and parents were here to support us and we would like to thank them so much,” said Pienaar.
