Newton House youngsters and teachers brave Midmar Mile

BUSH HILL ESTATE – Five youngsters and two teachers from Newton House School took part in the Midmar Mile.

Five youngsters and two teachers from Newton House School took part in the Midmar Mile in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal on 11 February,.

Deputy headmaster for the school, Shaun Berman said, “We would like to give a big congratulations to Jemma Sproat (Grade 8), Alex Voegt (Grade 8), Ruby Sproat (Grade 5), Dimitri Tsaperas (Grade 7) and Connor Brooks (Grade 7) who joined the other thousands of swimmers in Midmar and made their school proud.”

Berman and sports coordinator, Allan Flint joined the youngsters in the competition.

The annual event, which takes place at the Midmar Dam, is officially the world’s largest open water swimming event.
