Bipolar disorder talk in Bromhof

Bipolar disorder is a serious medical illness affecting the mood swings of about one million South Africans, said the South African Depression and Anxiety Group.

The Akeso Crescent Clinic Bipolar Support Group in Bromhof will be hosting an “ask the doctor” bipolar awareness talk at 11.am at The Akeso Crescent Clinic on 31 May.

The clinic is situated on the corner of President Fouche Drive and Hawken Avenue, Bromhof.

Attendance at the talk is free and there will be a guest speaker.

According to the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (Sadag), which is behind the event, about two percent of South Africa’s population (one million people) are affected by bipolar disorder, experiencing severe mood swings, and are in need of treatment and support.
