South African Council of Business Women hosts an empowering evening of connection and support at Tin Road.

The air was filled with the spirit of sisterhood, empowerment, and compassion as the South African Council of Business Women (SACBW) hosted its October sisterhood meeting on Tin Road in Bromhof.

Celebrating the theme of pink in support of breast cancer awareness, the evening brought together women from diverse businesses, all dressed in beautiful shades of pink and ready for a night of connection, inspiration and fun.

SACBW’s Tanya Liebenberg explained that the event brings together small business owners to build connections, form relationships, and inspire and uplift each other. “Sometimes there are tears, but mostly there are laughs. We share stories and values. It’s really a space where we just let loose. We create the opportunity for women to come together and just uplift one another and indirectly then build their businesses. The focus is really about the relationships that get built here,” said Liebenberg.

She said they get to share stories, find similarities in their journeys, and connect. “It’s just that sense of community where we belong. We have the sisterhood of support and encouragement.”

The event was attended by the CEO of PinkDrive, Noelene Kotschan, who was invited as the keynote speaker. The organisation also brought along its pop-up shop, giving guests an opportunity to explore its offerings while supporting the important cause of breast cancer awareness and education.

The event was more than just a networking gathering; it was a celebration of women supporting women. Businesswomen came out in numbers, eager to meet new faces, strengthen existing relationships and share their journeys in business and life.

“The energy in the room is always amazing,” Liebenberg added. “It was all around pink connections. It just inspires me to keep going and to plan our next sisterhood meeting to make it even better and greater and get more ladies to fill this room.”
