At least some abused children will have a festive Christmas.
Staff at Volkswagen Hatfield in Bryanston donated presents for children staying at Teddy Bear Clinic for Abused Children (TTBC).
TTBC were invited to collect the big-hearted donation of gifts beautifully wrapped by the team at Volkswagen. All employees who contributed to the cause were present for a group photograph and each received a teddy bear to symbolise the child they had blessed this Christmas.
Spokesman from the organisation Michelle Rowe said, “Once a year we host a Christmas party for the children from all three branches: Parktown, Soweto and Krugersdorp. Many of these children do not come from privileged backgrounds, and a public appeal is made each year to support these children with basic necessities such as deodorant, shoes, a cake of soap and a facecloth for children who have never had these luxuries. We want to thank personnel at the dealership for all of their hard work.”
