Christmas comes early

The Douglasdale Sector 1 Community Policing Forum held its annual Christmas party for less fortunate children in the Kya Sand informal settlement.

The party is hosted annually by the forum in conjunction with the Douglasdale police to give back to the community and to make the children feel special.

It began with a prayer session and thanksgiving, and gifts were handed out. Forum chairperson Jean Berdou said, “My hope is that every underprivileged child can smile and enjoy the spirit of Christmas.”

The police and the forum thanked all those who volunteered to help on the day.
