Fountainbleau cricket player Ruan Henning has been chosen for the Gauteng North Regional Cricket team.
“The team is split into North, East, South and West sides and we played three matches so far and won against the Gauteng West team but lost against the Gauteng South team,” said Henning.
Henning added that this was his second year in the team. He is a Grade 5 pupil at Fountainbleau Primary School and is also captain of the U11 A cricket team.
“Cricket has been a passion of mine since Grade R and I have been playing it ever since.” He concluded that the difference between a good cricket player and a great one was preparation and that was why he continued with his practice regime during the holidays.
