Pipeline upgrades in Malanshof ease the pressure

MALANSHOF – Councillor and public impressed with progress.

Pipeline upgrades in Malanshof are running on schedule and should be completed soon. Ward 104 Councillor Mike Wood is highly impressed with the results of the project.

“This is a very well-run and organised operation by contractors MIS Pipelines,” stated Wood.

“The freshwater pipes in the area were old and unmaintained, so they kept bursting due to the pressure caused by high volumes of water they needed to provide to residents.”

Johannesburg Water first allocated the funds to MIS Pipelines to upgrade one street, but was subsequently allocated more funds to upgrade further pipelines in the suburb, until almost the entire pipeline system in the suburb was upgraded.

“I’m very positive about this project and very grateful to Johannesburg Water and MIS Pipelines, I think what they have done is marvellous, they have really gone the extra mile,” continued Wood. “They came through for the residents of Malanshof in a big way.”

City of Johannesburg appointed client liason officer Pricilla Cillié, who has been overseeing the project, also expressed her confidence in the new upgrades. “It’s worked out very well, and I am very happy with the work MIS Pipelines and all the effort they have put in.”
