Raffle winners for Husky Rescue Haven

NOOITGEDACHT – The My Swim raffle winner is announced.

My Swim Swimming School held a raffle to raise funds for the Husky Rescue Haven.

The winners of the raffle were announced on 2 December, and they are Monique, Anrique and Kendra de Beer.

The raffle idea came after a swarm of bees attacked the Husky Rescue Haven in October, when 26 dogs were severely stung by bees.

The dogs sustained hundreds of stings all over their bodies especially on their faces, tongues and throats.

Two dogs died as a result of the stings.

The rest of the dogs are still extremely traumatised with severe reactions to the stings all over their skins.

My Swim Swimming School decided to run a raffle in order to raise funds for the expensive dermatitis food, which helps with the skin healing.

The swimming school was founded in 2010 by Joanne Vreenegoor.

Vreenegoor is a Zimbabwe swimming colours holder, South African Masters swimming colours and record holder, and Swimming South Africa Learn-to-Swim instructor.

In conjunction with the staff of My Swim Swimming School the raffle consisted of a Waboba ball, diving toys, swimming cap, goggles, beach ball and a beach towel, valued at over R800.
