ROBIN HILLS – The King's School Robin Hills reveals their top achievers.
The King’s School Robin Hills can boast some of the best matric achievers around.
Head girl Peace Francis achieved 10 distinctions and an A aggregate.
She was in the top one per cent for business studies, English, life orientation, life sciences and maths.
Francis was on the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) outstanding achievement list.
She was accepted to study medicine at Stellenbosch University as well as at the University of Cape Town.
Liam Devenish achieved nine distinctions and an A aggregate.
He was in the top one per cent for geography, English, life orientation, life sciences and physical science.
Devenish was on the IEB’s commendable achievement list.
He will study medicine at the University of Cape Town, and plans to specialise in neurosurgery.
Claire Ravenscroft achieved eight distinctions and an A aggregate.
She was in the top one per cent for business studies and life orientation. Ravenscroft was also on the IEB’s commendable achievement list.
She will study a Bachelor of Science (Actuarial Science) at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Eliyah Sischy achieved seven distinctions and an A aggregate.
He was in the top one percent for accounting and English.
Sischy will study medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand. He plans to specialise in paediatrics.
“The class of 2014 at The King’s School excelled in their final matric examinations,” said the school’s principal Jenni Joubert.
Deputy principal Susan Wiid commented, “We are proud of these exceptional results which reflect the dedication and commitment of our teachers as well as our students.” Out of 48 matric pupils, the school had a 100 per cent pass rate, and 47 pupils passed at a level allowing entry into degree studies.
