Business empowerment

BLAIRGOWRIE – Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry says they support Earn, a business empowerment initiative.

Enterprising Africa Regional Network (Earn) has started an initiative to guide and work with small and medium businesses in Africa. In a conference with key role players in the business industry held at Hackle Brook Centre in Blairgowrie, the company compiled vital questions and answers that one should ask oneself before and after starting a business. “I feel that people should be taught how to earn and not depend on hand-outs from others. That is why we have started this initiative,” said founder and chief enabler of the company Joshua Ngoma.

He added that people can help grow the economy if they are taught and given that extra bit of support.

The company’s hope is to develop successful African entrepreneurs and connect Africa to business by sharing their business success experiences, quality business services, facilities and opportunities. Its aim is to provide a solid business foundation for emerging businesses in order to minimise chances of failure.

The Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) manager Linda Blackbeard said that she supports this initiative completely because she believes that it is definitely one of its kind. “This is definitely something that this country needs, businesses need to be empowered,” said Blackbeard.

“It is important for people to remember the different sides of running a business. With this initiative – ideas, problems and solutions can be shared,” said Earn business partner Neil Pollock.
