UPDATE: Pedestrian knocked down

RANDPARK RIDGE – A woman is knocked down and injured in Randpark Ridge.

A pedestrian was knocked down on the corner of Beyers Naudé Drive and Dale Lace Avenue, Randpark Ridge, on the afternoon of 13 August.

The woman sat down, leaning against a traffic light until paramedics arrived.

An ER24 ambulance responded and hurried the woman away to a nearby hospital.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing, explained the woman, believed to 24 years old, had sustained moderate injuries.

Paramedics treated her and transported her to the Helen Joseph Hospital for further medical care,” she said.

“Occupants of the vehicle were uninjured. The exact cause of the incident is unknown.”
