Mother of Peace Christmas wishlist
NORTH RIDING – Mother of Peace asks residents to look at their wish list and see where they can help.
Mother of Peace is a foster home for children in North Riding. They currently provide a home to 25 children through the help of generous financial contributions.
They offer abandoned and orphaned children an opportunity to live within a structured family environment, to be cared for, nurtured and loved. Children are fostered by full-time and committed volunteers who dedicate their lives to looking after the children – also looking after HIV positive and disabled children of all ages.
This Christmas Mother of Peace is asking for these items on their wish list:
- Epson L365 printer, scanner, copier for its office and home school
- Nursery school fees for Lisa, R1 000 per month
- Fees for Intec correspondence course for Rethabile in Matric R6 800
- Unisa fees for home school teacher
- Registration fees for 2016 as a home school (costs to be confirmed)
- Sponsorship for printer ink and paper for office and home school
- Teaching materials for home school
- Any contributions and donations towards setting up a craft center for the children
- Bicycles for two of the older boys to use to school and back
- Tunnels for the vegetable garden
- Irrigation for the vegetable garden
- Vegetable seeds for gardening (self-germinating organic seeds if possible)
- Organic fertiliser for the vegetable garden
- Fuel,gas, pre-paid electricity per month
- Services and repairs on the vehicles
- Fruit and vegetables
- Proteins
- Peanut butter
- Margarine
- Milk powder blend (country pasture)
- Sugar
- Tea
- Coffee
- Bath soap
- Roll-on deodorants for boys and girls (13 girls and 22 boys)
- Vaseline
