AKA, an award-winning hip-hop artist and record producer, surprised children from Blairgowrie Primary School with one mission in mind, to bring joy to one birthday boy.
Zayden Nagdee turned 10 on 6 June and for his birthday his doting parents surprised him, along with the whole school, with an appearance by his favourite local artist.
Nagdee’s father, Mohammed said Zayden is a one-of-a-kind child who has always enjoyed experiences more than anything else.
“I am fortunate enough to be able to make this happen for him,” said the proud dad.

On 2 June, the schoolchildren gathered on the school’s field where their principal, Pat Oosthuizen kept them guessing as to why they were called to gather during their break time.
Before AKA’s big reveal, his most loved tunes were played and the children cheered and sang along. As he made his way to meet all the children, the field echoed with screams from some of his youngest fans.

The popular artist shared some inspiring words and encouraged the children to work hard and stay dedicated to their work as they start their mid-year exams this week.
AKA then made his way to Zayden’s class where he spent time with him and his classmates before the class enjoyed an awesome cake.
