A fete for Ann Harding

NORTHWOLD – Ann Harding Cheshire Home hosts a successful fourth annual fete.

What’s the best way to have fun?

Well, Ann Harding Cheshire Home thinks the best way to do this is to invite the whole community for an event under the sun.

Bridgette Winsper and her parrot George enjoy a great day out with family at the Ann Harding Cheshire Home annual fete.

The home hosted their fourth annual fete and fun day. The home’s fundraising manager, Jackie Kyle said the day was not only so that people could see what the home was about, but also to raise some much-needed funds.

On the day, visitors to the fete enjoyed a multitude of diverse stalls that all could enjoy. There were stalls for food, clothes, plants, accessories and much more.

“It’s the biggest one to date with about 30 stallholders at the event and it has been a wonderful atmosphere, the day was a lovely hot day,” said Kyle. She added that the home hosted one big fete a year with funds going towards their running costs.

“The home is a place for adults with a physical disability, most of them are here because of trauma, car accidents or are victims of crime.”

She has been part of the home for the past six years and her biggest hope for the home was that it grows financially to keep providing a high standard of care.

“We just battle so much with funding but we find ways to bring money into the home.”
