#ICYMI: Water outage planned for 16 November

BLAIRGOWRIE – Don't be surprised when nothing comes out of the tap.

Joburg Water has issued a statement advising that they will be having a planned water outage.

The reason for the outage is to carry out maintenance at the Blairgowrie reservoir. The water outage was scheduled for 9 November but has been postponed to 16 November.
The outage will be between 8am and 5pm with restoration taking place between 5pm and 9pm.

The following areas will be affected: 

  • Linden
  • Bryanston ext 3 and 5
  • Ferndale
  • Blairgowrie
  • Kensington B
  • Beverly Gardens
  • Strijdom Park
  • Vandia Grove (all ext)
  • Robindale
  • Jacanlee
  • Cresta (ext 1 to 5)
  • Darrenwood
  •  Aldara Park
  • Blairgowrie
  •  Bordeaux.

Water tankers will be made available at the following locations: 

  • Blackwood Street, Bryanston
  • Corner of Chester and Anchor roads, Bryanston
  • Corner of Kays and Cypress avenues, Bryanston
  • Corner of West Avenue and Highview Boulevard, Ferndale
  • Corner of Serruna and Speldekussing streets, Ferndale
  • Corner of Abingdon Road and Sirdar Street, Kensington B
  • Bright Water Commons, Republic Road, Ferndale
  • Ferndale High School, 53 Milner Road, Kensington B
  • Westview Park, Westview Drive, Bryanston
  • Corner of Beatrice Street and Dukes Avenue, Windsor West
  • Corner of Republic Road and Judges Avenue, Cresta
  • Corner of 1st Avenue and Bram Fischer Drive, Linden
  • Corner of Cherry Street and Berg Road, Randpark
  • Corner of Abbott Street and Oak Avenue, Robindale
