One of the participants, Ireton Liu of Parktown Boys’ High school, said, “The competition was very tough, it has sharpened our minds, and has taught us to be quick thinkers. I see Minquiz as a great opportunity and preparation for the upcoming final matric examinations.”

Addressing competitors, Mintek’s human resources manager, Hendrick Marobane encouraged them to work hard and to be competitive globally.

The aim of Minquiz is to promote excellence in physical science and mathematics, thereby fostering interest in careers in science, engineering, and technology.
