Help find this lost woman’s family

LINDEN – The woman who has been identified as 23-year-old Amanda Njire, may be mentally disabled.


Police are appealing to the community to help find the family of a woman who was recently found walking around the streets of Windsor East by a patrolling police vehicle.

According to Linden Police Station spokesperson Constable Takalani Matumba, the woman, who has been identified as 23-year-old Amanda Njire, may be mentally challenged. She is also suspected to be of Zimbabwean nationality.

Matumba said, “Police vehicles patrolling around Windsor discovered her walking aimlessly around the streets at around 1pm on 19 August. We are very concerned about her safety and are therefore appealing to the community for information on the whereabouts of her family.”
