Divine intervention for Zandspruit and Cosmo City

ZANDSPRUIT – The Johannesburg District Police are so concerned over the spread of Covid-19 and whether or not people in the Zandspruit and Cosmo City are adhering to the lockdown laws, that they feel a bit of divine intervention is the answer.

The Johannesburg District Police are so concerned over the spread of Covid-19 and whether or not people in the Zandspruit and Cosmo City are adhering to the lockdown laws, that they feel a bit of divine intervention is the answer.

The Honeydew Police’s Sargent Mamasedi May said that the district’s divine intervention unit visited the area on 21 May with district commissioner Major General Max Masha to address the public in an attempt to educate them about the spread of the virus.

“We had our police chaplain join us from the divine intervention unit who shared prayers and words of inspiration with the community. They also shared words of wisdom to motivate the community to encourage them to stay strong during the Covid-19 crisis,” said May.

Police officers handed out educational pamphlets to members of the community pertaining to the Covid-19 virus and how to prevent it.

“We also made sure to give the community an update on the regulations surrounding the lockdown and the disaster management act, and checked that those in the area were complying with the law.

We also had many roadblocks placed all over the Honeydew area to ensure that drivers were complying with the law,” continued May.

The police’s divine intervention programme was introduced to add a spiritual element in the fight against crime in South Africa.
