New Year wishes from the Honeydew CPF
HONEYDEW – The Honeydew community police forum's Michael Steyn has given a message of support for the community for the new year.
Honeydew Community Police Forum’s (CPF) Michael Steyn shares a message of support with the community for the new year on behalf of the CPF.
He writes:
During 2020, our goal as a team was to see the good we get to do in the community, and we hope to continue this into the new year.
We would like to thank the security companies, emergency services and community members who always ‘have our backs’.
A lot of the time we meet people in a stressful and dangerous situation, and the small things we say and do can make everything more positive. The gratitude we get makes it all worth it. The camaraderie between members keeps us sane and we have become like family to each other.
Everything the CPF Victim Support and patrollers do is at their own cost. Most of the time, when we buy equipment such as traffic cones, reflectors, and torches, it is from our members’ pockets.
Many of the members currently don’t have bulletproof vests. If the community or businesses want to get involved in sponsorships in 2021, then they are welcome to get in contact with us to see what the need is at that time.
We would like to thank our SAPS and JMPD members who are always a phone call away. This year has been rough on everyone due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but we wish everyone a happy New Year and a safe year ahead.
