Randpark Ridge Village Association reflects on 2020
RANDPARK RIDGE – Randpark Ridge RRVA residents association reflected on 2020.
Chairperson of the Randpark Ridge Village Association, Roderick Rankine has reflected on 2020 and shared some highlights from the residents’ association.
He writes:
Our highlight this past year has been the renewed interest shown by our members.
We have dynamic new blood on our committee and people are taking notice and starting to make a significant difference.
Unfortunately, this follows years of apathy.
Out lowlight has been the huge reduction in membership following the Covid-19 pandemic and the hard economic times.
We have many heroes in our group, and they are my fellow directors and committee members Quinton Robbertze, Heather Mannion, Barret Stewart, Robyn Bergman, Steven Sudi, Jennifer McQuillan and Jon Caldwell.
My hope for 2021 is that our community will stand resilient in the face of the inevitable challenges that are coming our way and that people will step up, work together towards a common purpose and help one another.
This includes embracing those people at the bottom of the ladder such as the waste reclaimers who go through our trash collecting valuable materials that we can’t be bothered to sort.
I hope that all of our residents have a safe and happy festive season, and a wonderful 2021.
