Saints divers in top spots

LYME PARK – The results saw the Girls’ College take home a wealth of trophies and medals.


St Stithians College is extremely proud of the results of their learners who participated in the recent Central Gauteng Aquatics Diving event.

The results saw the Girls’ College take home a wealth of trophies and medals as well as prized selections for the SA Nationals Competition, which is taking place from 1 to 8 April.
The competition saw Group A’s Bailey Heydra take top spots in the one-metre, three-metre and platform diving competition, and the trophy for the groups best overall diver.

Heydra, alongside teammates Grace Brammer, Bailey Davenport, Katherine Leschner, Gemma Weyers, were selected to participate in the upcoming Youth Nationals Competition.
Heydra, Davenport and Brammer have also qualified for the Senior Nationals Competition that will take place at the same time.

Acting sports director of the St Stithians Girls’ College Nicky White said, “St Stithians Girls’ College is very proud of our divers who have performed extremely well in the recent Central Gauteng Aquatics diving competition. The amount of training that goes into preparing for diving competitions is monumental, and the hours of hard work and dedication to diving is testimony to these superb results.

“We wish our divers who have qualified for the Junior National and Senior National competition taking place in April all the best and we support you all the way.”
