The Honeydew police would like to inform the public that there is a backlog in the processing of firearm licences and competency certificates.
Honeydew police spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said, “Members of the community need to realise that all licences will be processed in due course due to this backlog. We encourage understanding and patience from our community, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Muthan said that as soon as applications are received at the processing authority, they will receive an SMS message with a reference number that they can use to track their application.
