Police from different parts of the Joburg West sub-district that include Douglasdale, Diepsloot, Florida, Roodepoort, Linden, Honeydew and Randburg arrested 93 suspects over the weekend 28 to 30 May.
This during operations that were conducted throughout the area.
The suspects were arrested for different crimes ranging from murder, rape, contravention of the disaster management, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault common, possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle, drunk and driving, possession of car jamming device, theft, dealing in liquor without license reckless and negligent driving and shoplifting.
The arrested suspects will appear at Randburg and Roodepoort magistrates’ courts soon.
