How to join the CPF as a volunteer patroller

HONEYDEW – The local Community Policing Forum has been asked how residents can become volunteer patrollers.

In light of these trying times, the Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) has clarified how residents can become volunteer patrollers.

“We have had a lot of people ask how can they join the CPF volunteer patrollers,” said the CPF’s public relations officer, Michael Steyn.

“If you interested please send your name, surname and email address to vice chairperson, Jon Rosenberg on 082 450 2305 and all forms will be emailed to you on how to join.”

Requirements when joining:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • Must stay within the Honeydew Policing Precinct
  • Must be able to work at least one shift a month
  •  Must at least be over the age of 21
  •  Must have a driver’s licence and own transport.

You will also be required to get police clearance via an internal process which the CPF arranges.
