Netcare Olivedale Hospital health care workers receive a treat

OLIVEDALE – Residents sing for nurses at Netcare Olivedale Hospital.


Community members treated healthcare workers at Netcare Olivedale Hospital to a great time when they sang for them and donated 300 large biscuits to those on the front line of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

Helen Mcdand explained that the initiative was community-driven and many of the residents came all the way from Little Falls.

“Healthcare workers are our real concern,” she said.

“No one needs more encouragement than them these days. The staff loved it.”

She said they did not see quite as many residents attend as they had hoped for, but the main objective was achieved, which was to lift the morale of the workers.
