4 arrested for armed robbery

BRYANSTON – Randburg police respond to a robbery in Bryanston and arrest four suspects immediately after they allegedly committed the crime.


Randburg Police Station Commander Brigadier Michelle Jones applauded visible policing members for their swift reaction and response which resulted in four suspects being arrested for armed robbery immediately after they committed the crime.

Police spokesperson Captain Makgowanyana Maja explained that the members were notified about a commotion at the corner of William Nicol Drive and Main Road in Bryanston at 18:40 on November 11.

“They reacted immediately and realised that a motorist was being robbed of his items,” Maja said.

“The officers managed to stop the vehicle and the search was conducted whereby all the robbed items were recovered. The two replica firearms used to threaten the victims were recovered.”

The four suspects are expected to appear in Randburg Magistrate’s Court to face charges of armed robbery.
