Police recover vehicles and jamming devices during operation

KENSINGTON B – Cases at police stations receive breakthroughs as stolen vehicles and equipment are recovered.


Randburg police are proud to report on their successful operation recently that saw vehicles and jamming equipment recovered.

Randburg detectives embarked on their weekly O Kae Molao operation in the early hours of the morning of November 12.

β€œThe operation was focusing on wanted suspects and possible suspects in new cases,” explained Randburg police spokesperson, Captain Makgowanyana Maja.

He said the officers raided premises in Soweto and the following were recovered: A vehicle [linked to a] Sandton case, and a VW Polo, silver in colour. Nissan NP200 parts were recovered and linked with a Randburg case number. Suspension parts, a petrol tank, tow bar, licence disk, grey Vespa motorcycle with Parkveiw case number, vehicle registration plates, jamming devices and skeleton keys allegedly used for stealing motor vehicles.
The items were seized and taken to the pound.

Maja said no one had been arrested but the investigations continued.

Station Commander Brigadier Michelle Jones applauded the members for their effort to bring the perpetrators to book.
