Local resident needs your help to win Women of Stature Award

BLAIRGOWRIE – Former Mrs SA finalist needs your help to win the Women of Stature Award.

Kholofelo Tsoloane from Blairgowrie, who was nominated for the South African Woman of Stature Award 2022, felt honoured to be recognised for her contributions to society.

Tsoloane, who is a health and wellness coach, was nominated in the category of Women in Science. The married mother of three and former Mrs SA finalist 2017 is passionate about young women and is continuously involved in projects that empower girls and women.
In 2014 she co-started a non-profit organisation called Dare to empower young girls from Alexandra. “I am honoured to be nominated and recognised for the contributions I make in society, it’s an incredible feeling of gratitude and affirmation,” she said about her nomination.

Tsoloane initiated a recycling project in 2017 to help a daycare raise funds while teaching about the environment and the importance of recycling. She continuously collects old clothes to give to the needy, especially baby clothes for new mothers.
Some of her community work involves health awareness outreach programmes and she was also involved in a project with the Cancer Association of South Africa.

The finalists in the 16 categories of the Woman of Stature Awards 2022 were announced on November 14. These awards give participants an opportunity to evaluate their business’ strengths and opportunities. They also provide great exposure and access to other influential people in a variety of industries.

These awards are the brainchild of Woman of Stature Foundation. According to the foundation website, it was formed to address the socio-economic challenges that are prevalent in South Africa, by making a valued contribution through development of women.
Tsoloane said she found out about the awards from one of the directors who encouraged her to enter and also ask her close friends and acquaintances to nominate her. “This is a great honour to be recognised for the amazing work I have been involved in throughout the years. This organisation holds values very close to mine, empowering women is empowering the next generation,” she said.
