BOSKRUIN - Randburg Bowls Club celebrates public holiday with a fun bowls day with the community.

A little rain did not stop members and visitors from having a blast at a fun bowls day.

Randburg Bowls Club was abuzz on Human Rights Day, March 21, when about 100 bowlers took to the greens, enjoyed braais and had a lovely time.

“The success of these days is largely due to the relaxed environment where a new skill may be developed while having fun. It’s also a great social opportunity for families, singles and the youth,” said women’s captain, Di Tollman.

She said fun bowls days are appealing as young and old, experts and novices alike get together and there is a great atmosphere yet also a competitive spirit.

“Randburg Bowls promotes youth development bowls very strongly and provides sponsorship opportunities with BEE benefits. Corporate league is a fantastic networking or team-building tool and our representatives will gladly call on corporates to talk you through why it’s a must.”

The club’s floodlights benefit corporates and those needing to play after hours.
