Olivedale Library raise funds for new books
The locals raise R9000 funds for new books for Olivedale Library.
The Friends of Olivedale Library (Fools) have raised funds to purchase new books through a fundraiser held on July 1.
Fools member Eleanor Woodman said, “They [librarians] need this because they do not receive the funds they should from the municipality.”
Only second-hand books which were donated by the community were sold during the fundraising.
As a result, the public library was able to generate R9 000 to replenish its stock of books.
