Harriers looks forward to hosting its annual Vitality Run

Runners can expect many hills along the famous route Randburg Harriers is known for.

Get your running shoes out and jump online because entries are still open for the Randburg Harriers Challenge.

Part of the Discovery Vitality Series, the run will be held on July 31 with distances of 5km, 10km and 21.1km.

Last year’s event was held virtually in September, while this one will start and finish at the club in Praegville.

Race director Connie Mkhize explained that runners and their supporters can look forward to live music and food and drinks from vendors.

“Although Randburg is famous for its hills, the undulating route creates a balance between digging deep up those hills and cruising along the declines,” she said.

“This beautifully tree-lined single lapper is a fun way of realising your true potential. The bouquet of activities on race day is what I look forward to the most. The VIP treatment from our valued sponsors is one of the highly anticipated highlights of this iconic race.”

The 10km and 21.1km events start at 07:30 while the 5km run starts at 07:40. Cut-off for finishers is at 1100.
