Children enjoy treats at Easter hunt in Ferndale

Aida Musper said that the donations made by the community made the day special for the children and the event was a huge success.

An Easter egg hunt initiative brought smiles and joy to the Ferndale community.

The hunt was aimed to bring children together and give them something to look forward to.

Organiser Aida Musper said that the event was a blast and she is overwhelmed with the turnout.

“This year I’m grateful for the response we got from our neighbours and friends and donations of Easter egg boxes for kids. We did it in a different manner to encourage our kids to participate.”

Kids were spoilt with different prices. There were three categories to win best costume, ages from 1 to 4 yrs, 5 to 8 and from 9 to 12.

“Each of them received a box of chocolate shaped like a bunny. Kids and parents were having fun.”
“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have but rather, of recognizing and appreciating what we do have,” added Musper.
