High rate of unemployment prompted Zandspruit resident to pen a book
The book also touches on self-development, self-consciousness, and self-respect.
The high rate of unemployed youth in the country drove a Johannesburg North resident to pen a book titled The Ground-breaking Advantage of Not Working.
Born and bred on the outskirts of Polokwane, at Mmotong wa perekisi village, but now based in Zandspruit, a 29-year-old author and motivational speaker said that he grew up loving to read.
“I used to read almost anything, be it a book, newspaper, or script. I’ve always wanted to know what is it talking about and how it can elevate me,” said Noko Mafodi.
According to the writer, his book of 11 chapters was released in March. He said that it focuses on uplifting and encouraging unemployed people that they can still make it, however, there will be difficulties that make success harder to achieve.
Mafodi said the book motivates people who went to universities and colleges, hoping that they will get employed after graduating, but due to the lack of jobs, they end up throwing in the towel.

“My book teaches people how to create something out of nothing.
“It pains my soul to see the greatest number of youth and adults not working. I urge them to create opportunities by writing books and thinking about concepts they use to create something.”
Mafodi explained what readers can obtain from the book, “Readers and individuals who are not working will get to know how to think creatively and strategically, as well as how to succeed regardless of their circumstances.”

The author hopes that his book, The Ground-breaking Advantage of Not Working, will reach more people and motivate them that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
Mafodi said he plans to write six more books aimed at touching people’s lives.
