Netball competition encourages youngsters to keep healthy

The event organisers intend to hold more netball competitions in Cosmo City because the players and coaches had a good time.

Non-profit organisations After Skool Is Lit and Lotus Blue Events hosted their first of many school netball tournaments in Cosmo City on May 13.

Buhle Ngubane, Nolitha Ncaweni and Kemiso Bokaba have a great time at the netball tournament.

Cosmo City Secondary, Blue Eagle High School, and Meridian Cosmo City High School competed for the top position with the hope to walk away winners of the first Luna Games trophy.

Farai Mupingo and his wife, Gaongalelwe Kgomongwe from the Bateleur Group support the event because they are passionate about community development.

The tournament was intended to support young girls in sports and grow the sport in the country.

Lisa Hope and Bonginkosi Thanjekwayo are happy that the event encourages young girls to exercise.
Pontsho Ramatlho and Ayanda Tibane attend the tournament as it boosts the confidence of young girls.

Winning teams are set to compete in the Luna Fest, which will be hosted by the two organisations later this year.
