Randburg delivery bikers have a new safe place to service their machines

Delivery riders will also be able to purchase spares and the full range of engine lubricants and motorcycle care products at Biker’s Warehouse with a loyalty scheme, that lets them save money over time.

Delivery bike riders in Randburg to benefit from the first Motul Pit Stop recently opened at Biker’s Warehouse in North Riding.

This is the first workshop in what will eventually be a series of programmes targeted specifically to the needs of delivery bike riders.

The service space is open to any commercial delivery rider, no matter which company or app they work for. They provide a safe, secure and geared-up workshop area where the riders themselves can carry out minor services or repairs on their motorcycles.

Delivery biker Kuda Chigumba said this is a great initiative and they are happy to have access to the Pit Stop for their repairs.

“I already use Motul products and believe this is the reason why in four years of riding my bike, I have never had to open the engine. I have learnt that using good quality engine oils can keep your engine going for longer and it saves me on petrol and repairs,” he added.

Delivery riders don’t need to book, and they can drop into the Pit Stop between deliveries. They will be able to borrow tools from Biker’s Warehouse free of charge, and get advice and expertise from the in-store sales team.

Mercia Jansen of Motul South Africa said that the riders will have free access to a workshop space to be able to do minor services and repairs including tyre changes, clutch adjustments, chain maintenance and oil changes.

“Plus, we are providing sumps so that the used oil will get disposed of responsibly as part of our alignment to the Rose Foundation, a used oil collection and recycling non-profit organisation.”
