Kidz College Nursery School celebrates 25 years of existence

Michelle van der Berg said her determination to create a nurturing, loving, and intellectually stimulating environment continues to be the cornerstone of Kidz College's success.,

Kidz College Nursery School, a beloved institution in the heart of Fontainebleau, celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Michelle van der Berg founded the school in 1998. It began its adventure with only four children and a cook, with the modest goal of having a single classroom. Van der Berg quickly identified a pressing need for a smaller nursery school with fewer children per class and added a second and subsequently a third classroom.

This enabled the school to provide a one-of-a-kind and nurturing atmosphere in which each child received personalised attention and care in a home-away-from-home setting.

“The last 25 years have been really good. There were ups and downs. We had years where it was quiet and we had the Covid years that we had to get through. But we coped through all of that,” she said.

The school has been a caring haven for hundreds of children throughout the years, leaving a lasting mark in their hearts and preparing them for the lifelong journey of education.
The close ties built with parents and alumni show the school’s long-term impact on generations of families.
