Residents gather at Old Parks for Springboks’ first match
Residents came out in numbers to show support for the Springboks as they played their first 2023 World Cup game in France.

On September 10, locals gathered at Old Parks Sports Club to enjoy the lovely weather and watch the Springboks’ first World Cup match against Scotland.
Residents flocked to celebrate the day with friends and family over a few drinks and tasty cuisine. The Sports Club broadcast the game on various screens across the bar and set up a live stream on a projector for families with children.
The Springboks did not disappoint, winning their first Pool B match 18–3. On September 17, they will face Romania in their next encounter.
