Throughout the year, the SCC collected an array of toys, books, and clothing for the haven. At the December gathering, these donations were handed over, to support the organization’s invaluable work.

In addition to the heartfelt donations, the children from St Laurence Children’s Haven were invited to join the festivities, which included a fun-filled day featuring treats, sweets, a jumping castle, supervised swimming, and other joyful activities.

Each child received a gift of their choice, with the remaining toys and books delivered directly to the haven’s premises to ensure ongoing support.

The annual year-end luncheon has become a cherished tradition, with the children from the haven taking centre stage as guests of honour. Adding to the celebration, the event welcomed hotel and hospitality general managers from across greater Johannesburg, strengthening networks of collaboration and goodwill.
