I am a football player currently playing for Randburg AFC but my journey in football began when I was in Grade 4. At first, I didn’t take it seriously, but everything changed in Grade 7 when I fell in love with the game. I joined Spoiler during that time, and in Grade 8, I played for a boys’ team called Mighty Chiefs. In Grade 10, I returned to girls’ football, playing for Cosmo Titans in the 2021 Ladies division before joining Randburg AFC in 2024.

For me, football has always been more than just a sport it was my escape from the dangers of the streets. Growing up, I wanted to be a chef, but my family’s financial struggles, with my mother raising us as a single parent, meant I had to reconsider my dreams. My mother worked hard to ensure we never went to bed hungry, and her resilience inspired me to focus on football to stay out of trouble and make a better life for myself.

My mother’s unwavering support has been my greatest motivation. Even when she had little to give, she always found a way to buy me soccer boots and attend my matches. Her sacrifices, along with the encouragement of my family, have pushed me to work harder every day.

This year, I am determined to take my football career to the next level and make my mother proud. Her strength and belief in me fuel my ambition and I am deeply grateful for everyone who supports me on this journey. Football is not just a passion; it’s my way of creating a brighter future for myself and my family.
