Randburg SPCA needs shelving after roof leaks damage blankets

Randburg SPCA is appealing for community support to replace shelving in their blanket room, which suffered damage due to ongoing roof leaks and heavy rains.

With winter approaching, the organisation is working to reorganise and protect the blankets. They are seeking donations of shelving, either wooden or steel, to keep the blankets off the ground and in good condition.

“We have been dealing with a leaking roof for some time, and, unfortunately, it damaged many of our blankets,” said Cynthia Swanepoel, from the Randburg SPCA. “We are almost done with the repairs, but now we need shelving to store the blankets properly.”

The shelter also has a resident cat that sleeps in the blanket room, making it essential to create a safe and organised space.

Anyone able to assist with shelving can contact the SPCA at 011 462 1610 or admin@spca-rbg.org.za. The organisation is willing to arrange collection if needed.

Community support will help ensure that the blankets remain clean and dry, providing warmth for the animals in their care.
