According to the victim’s statement, the incident unfolded on February 25. She met Mumbya at Cresta Mall, having previously communicated with him over the phone. He expressed interest in purchasing her black Lifan motorbike, registration number MC11MNGP. It was agreed he would use the bike, temporarily, while arranging the payment.
The agreement, as per the victim, stipulated that Mumbya would use the motorbike for Uber Eats deliveries, and pay her R500 weekly. However, the anticipated payments never materialised, and the motorbike was not returned.
