City Power has attended to electrical shocks experienced by residents in Randpark Ridge, specifically in complexes including Villa Divane, Villa Limar, and Escada Estate.
Residents have been experiencing an electrical current flowing through their taps for over two months, with some residents even hiring electricians to inspect the electrical circuits to find a solution.

The entity spokesperson, Isaac Mangena said: “Technicians were dispatched to conduct a detailed inspection of the affected properties and surrounding electrical infrastructure. The issue was investigated and resolved. No further complaints of a similar nature have been reported from the affected locations.”
After a full technical investigation, City Power identified a fault related to the earthing and neutral system in the supply network. Corrective measures were implemented, which included testing and verifying the integrity of earth connections within the area.

Technicians confirmed the restoration of safe supply conditions following the repair. “The safety and well-being of our customers remain our top priority, and our teams remain on standby to respond urgently to any similar faults reported across the city.”
Mangena added that they are monitoring the area to ensure stability and urge residents to immediately report any anomalies or supply-related concerns through their digital or telephonic platforms.
