Emergency crews are currently on the scene at Knights Preparatory School in Randburg, responding to a fire. Multiple agencies, including COJ Fire Operations, Secure Fire, COJ EMS, EGM, ER24, and several private security teams, are working together to manage the incident.

The Suburban Control Centre posted about the situation on their Facebook page, confirming that emergency teams are on site. In response, Knights Preparatory School commented on the post, reassuring the community that: “All learners and staff are safe and accounted for.” They also confirmed that the fire has been extinguished and the situation is now under control. The school expressed gratitude to those who responded quickly and effectively.

Leanne Swart, the chief communications officer at Knights Preparatory School, further clarified in the comments that the fire was not caused by arson. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
