Cosmo City residents march over Johannesburg water crisis

Carrying a memorandum to Mayor Dada Morero, Cosmo City residents demanded urgent action on water shortages, disconnections, and corruption, warning that their communities cannot function.

Cosmo City residents filled the streets of Braamfontein today as they marched to highlight the growing water crisis in Johannesburg. The demonstration carried a clear message: We are not here for fun.

The marchers are making their way to the office of Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero to deliver a memorandum of demands. Among the key issues being raised is the call to stop water disconnections, which they say have disrupted daily life and even the running of schools and public facilities.
