Coach Lefa Makunyane could not hide his pride in the squad’s performance as he reflected on their strong start. “I am very much happy with the boys for keeping a clean sheet, being disciplined, and following instructions very well. As a team we worked very hard, even though we were about four key players out because of injuries, but those who were left with the task to perform, they did very well.”

The perfect run has created excitement throughout the club, and the coach said the mood is electric. “I am over the moon and celebrating this, just proud of the team for the good work they put up in the past five games.”

Despite the strong results, Makunyane remains focused on improvement. He highlighted key areas the team aims to sharpen when they regroup in the new year. “What I noticed in the past five games is that we created a lot of scoring opportunities, but we are missing that connection to hit the target, and I wasn’t convinced about our build-up in our half. Next year, our focus will be on finishing and build-ups. We must concentrate on possession, especially in second-ball situations.”

With momentum on their side and clear objectives for 2026, Crusaders FC are shaping up to be serious contenders for the RCLFA title. For now, though, they head into the holiday break unbeaten, united, and full of belief – exactly where every club dreams of being at Christmas.
